Who We Are
Our mission is to provide a collaborative effort to discover and address housing barriers for low income residents of Wabash County.
How We Help

Monthly Meetings
Monthly networking meetings take place on the third Wednesday at 2PM at the Wabash Church of the Brethren, 645 Bond Street. This meeting is designed for all of the community to come together once a month to collaborate and discuss housing needs, to share success stories, and bring awareness to upcoming events that organizations are providing in the community. Networking is a critical tool used to connect the individual in need with the correct service to aid them in their crisis.

Emergency Shelter
HAWC and its partners provide Emergency Shelter to qualified individuals and families through an agreement with the Wabash Bliss Point Inn. In addition to the rooms, which include upgraded kitchen facilities, the project utilizes a Navigator who handles intake and leads coordination with our partner agencies, and a Housing Counselor who works with the clients to determine a way forward from an office at Bliss Point.

More Ways We Help
Landlord
Engagement
HAWC partners provide education for community landlords who are willing to work with this population. This may include information about applying to government programs that provide subsidies to upgrade property and partial rent payments.

Sleep
Solutions
Sleep Solutions provides beds, mattresses, and bedding to qualified individuals or families in Wabash County who are referred by one of the HAWC partner organizations.
Housing
Helpline
We have established a Housing Helpline that will connect those in Wabash County needing housing assistance to a Navigator who will review their current situation and direct them to available community resources.
